Winter Fun Card (Crafty Creations Challenges #280)

Hi everyone :-D

Today a new challenge starts at Crafty Creations Challenges.
http://craftycreationschallenges.blogspot.com/

New challenge for this fortnight is #280 - Brrr... Blues

This is my first appearance as a Design Team Member at Crafty Creation Challenges and for this challenge I made this Winter Fun Card.

Image is From the Heart Stamps 'Skating Birdbrain' and it´s paper pieced. It has 4 layers. Sentiment is also from this digital stamp set, which includes this lovely image and five bonus sentiments.

I used two different designer papers for this one, free Birds Snowflakes Digital Paper Pack and  Bebunni Christmas Paper Pad.

First I printed image and sentiment on Birds Snowflakes Digital Paper, cut out layer, distressed edges and glued it onto a card base.

Then I printed 2 images on white paper, colored pieces I needed and fussy cut them. I printed 1 more image on "sweater" pattern Bebunni Christmas Paper, which was just perfect for scarf and socks, and fussy cut pieces I needed. I colored edges of all pieces with black marker, pieced all elements together and glued them over image printed on card layer.

I added some transparent varnish on bird´s beak and eyelids to create glossy accents. I accidentally smeared my card with glue (LOL), so I added plastic snowflake onto a card, to hide a stain. :-D

Card dimensions are 143 mm x 98 mm (5 5/8" x 3 7/8").

List of supplies:
