http://kittybeedesigns.blogspot.com/

Hi everyone! :o)

Today is my turn to be on the spotlight over at Kitty Bee Designs and I made this Oh! Card.

This is my second card with this fun Froggie. If you like, you can see the first one here and here. :o)

Details about my card...

I printed one froggie on a white cardstock card base and colored ground in watercolor technique using Hickory Smoke Distress Ink.

Then I printed out two more images on a white watercolor paper and colored pieces I needed in watercolor technique using Distress Inks. After drying, I fussy cut pieces I needed, colored edges with black marker and glued all pieces together.

I colored speech bubble wood chip with Black Soot Distress Ink, dried it with Heat It Tool and glued it on the card.

Few enamel stickers as a finishing touch and my card was finished. :o)

Happiness, Mixed Media Decoration Card (Jane's Doodles DT Spotlight)

Hi everyone :o)

On Thursday, March 24th, was my turn to be on the spotlight over at Jane's Doodles and I made this Mixed Media Decoration Card, Happiness. :o)

I cut a rectangle cardstock base. This is a recycled item. I cut it out from s watercolor paper pad package. I rarely throw away cardstock and try to reuse it for new projects or as a crafting mat. :o)

I colored the base with white acrylic paint.

I used Note Sheet patterned paper as a background, colored it with different mediums and when I was satisfied with the color, I glued it on the cardstock base and rounded corners.

I stamped two butterflies from Jane's Doodles 'Butterflies' Stamp Set on the card, colored them with different mediums and added white highlights with white pen.

Using stencils and structure paste I made white circles. After drying, I used same stencils and white pen and drew bubbles. Love bubbles!!! :o)

I stamped a sentiment from Jane's Doodles 'Doodle Flowers' Stamp Set on a scrap of white cardstock paper, drew messy black border and colored edges with black fine permanent pen, colored it and splattered with distress ink and glued it on the card.

I used découpage glue and varnish due crafting process to fix colors.

29th card I made for the challenge is this Rainbow Speech Bubbles Card.

To make this card, I was inspired with a gorgeous card by Christine Drogt of Kartenchaos.

Christine is very kind and friendly person and amazing designer, illustrator and many more. Her CAS cards designs are WoooW!

Christine is an owner and illustrator of Create a Smile. Stamps, stencils, papers, enamel stickers, wood chips... Love love love!!! :o) Here is a link to  Create a Smile blog and shop .

Christine also set up an art project #Smilespotting. Cards to brighten someones day, fun ideas and beautiful designs, gorgeous hand lettering... If you would like to find out more about this fun project, just follow this link. :o)

And now, how I made my card...

I cut out a panel from watercolor paper and stamped speech bubbles from Create a Smile 'Perfect Tune' Stamp Set on it. These are the cutest speech bubbles I have. :o)

I colored bubbles with Stabilo Markers in watercolor technique and little hearts with same colors directly with markers. I learned that from a great video tutorial by Julia Altermann, how to watercolor using inexpensive Stabilo pens.

I glued a black cardstock paper stripe on a card base and stamped panel over it. Then I drew white dots with white pen. As a finishing touch, I covered hearts with gloss resin gel to create glossy accents  and to add some dimension on my card. :o)

Card dimensions are 88 mm x 119 mm (3 1/2" x 4 3/4").
